Terms of use

These terms are between you and Nonso Enenmoh, who runs TapeRule. By using TapeRule you agree to them. Questions: hello@taperule.app.

Your account

You sign in with your phone number. Keep your phone and number safe: anyone who can receive your sign-in code can open your account.

Your book is yours

The customers, measurements and notes you save belong to you. You are responsible for having your customers' permission to keep their details, and for keeping your own backups. TapeRule saves your book on your phone and backs it up to your own iCloud or Google Drive when you do or, on TapeRule Unlimited, every day.

The free plan

The free plan includes 50 measurement records. After 50 you can still open, edit, share and back up every record you have; saving new records needs TapeRule Unlimited.

TapeRule Unlimited

• A yearly subscription: unlimited measurement records, your logo on your cards, and automatic daily backup.
• The price is shown in the app before you buy, in your currency.
• It renews automatically every year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. You keep TapeRule Unlimited until the end of the year you paid for.
• Payments and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. Ask them for a refund: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google in Google Play's order history.
• If your subscription ends, you go back to the free plan. Every record you saved stays yours.

Fair use

Don't use TapeRule to break the law, to send messages people did not ask for, or to try to reach other people's accounts or our systems.

Your brand name and logo

You may only use a brand name and logo in TapeRule that you own or have permission to use. Don't use a name or logo that copies or could be confused with another business or designer.

If we receive a report, or see that a brand name or logo impersonates someone else, we may remove the name or logo from your account and cards, and we may suspend your account. A suspended account can still open and export its measurement book, but can't share cards, back up or change its brand. To report misuse or ask us to review a decision, email hello@taperule.app.

Suspension for impersonation is not grounds for a refund from TapeRule. Subscription refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.

The service

We work to keep TapeRule running and your data safe, but we provide it as it is, without guarantees. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for lost business or lost data; keep your backups up to date. We may change or end features, and we will tell you in the app before anything that affects your plan.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings, then Delete account) or as described on Delete your account. We may close accounts used to break these terms.

Changes and law

If these terms change, we will update this page and the date at the top. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
